FAQ

Where are you from?
Melbourne, Australia.

How long have you been blogging?
Roughly two and a half years, give or take a couple of months.

Have you ever travelled overseas?
Yes, I have been to Thailand, New Zealand, Indonesia, America, Italy, United Kingdom and Bali.

How did you get into blogging?
I have always had a passion for fashion and fine things, for textures, fabrics, patterns, the infrastructure of design. I think it comes down to the fact that I’ve been in and out of the modelling industry since I was a baby, and the more time I spent in the industry, the greater my interest and thirst for trending, thrifting, and storing items grew. I was building up folders and folders worth of photographs, online folios of clothing, people, places, designers, materials.. A friend of mine suggested I tried blogging online, and introduced me to Tumblr. (I occassionally wish I had started on a different and more matured blogging site) but regardless, here I am today- venting my fashion interest to followers from  over 41 countries (according to statcounter).

Are you in a relationship / do you want a boyfriend?
I don’t really have time for a relationship in life right now, I’d like to suggest I have all the time in the world for a boyfriend, but if I am truthful, my schedule is full, hectic and difficult to alter. I don’t feel it would be fair to bring someone else into my life when I can barely make time for myself. Plus, I have a dog who goes everywhere with me- and she’s a top quality snuggle-pup.

How long have you been modelling?
I have modelled in patches from the age of infancy through until now, I have been modelling full time without a break now for over 18 months.

How old are you?
I am nineteen years old

Do you live alone?
I do, I rent an apartment in the city, and have done since I was eighteen.

Do you have any tips on thrifting?
Dig, and keep digging. It’s very unlikely that the perfect item for you will be sitting on a mannequin underneath a spotlight calling your name. The best finds are deeply hidden, and worth the time searching.

Why don’t you write anymore?
I do write, regularly. I simply choose to keep the majority of my text away from the internet. There are few more article-based posts throughout my blog that you will find if you search hard enough, I also haven’t deleted any of the older posts. I’ve just chosen to keep my personal life more personal than previously, as it causes less concern and dramas with being represented by agents/agencies. Online profiles are often detrimental.

Do you have Facebook?
I do have Facebook, it has been disabled though- as I rarely use it. I’ve never been one to love social networking like Facebook and Myspace etc, but I do enjoy Twitter and Blogging. I feel they’re the two more sophisticated and safe versions of networking over the internet.

What is your Twitter?
There is a link to it on my blog, scroll up and you will spot it at the very top.

Would you ever consider living somewhere else?
I would consider most things in life, everything is worth a glance or two at least. I adore Melbourne though, and any time away would only be temporary. I lived in London for three months on an agency scholarship with modelling, but craved for Melbourne whilst I was away. There’s something special and unique about the city, it draws people in and leaves them with the desire to stay.

Why did you change your blog name?
Relevance to content. Simple.

Do you meet people from Tumblr?
I have met two good girlfriends from Tumblr, one is from the UK however, and have known them now for over a year. I have had many followers ‘spot me’ or ‘see me’ throughout Melbourne. You’ll often find me getting on or off a tram or walking to and from somewhere. Occasionally out of a night. But don’t hesitate to say hello. I have had many messages stating that someone has seen me but been ‘too nervous’ to say hello.. I’m not rude nor arrogant. I’d love for you to introduce yourself. I acknowledge people I see and spend time in conversation- I’m friendly, and won’t brush anyone off. I have had some reasonably bad experiences in the past with people from the internet, and thus I am hesitant to ‘plan’ meeting people I don’t really know.

Your hair is so long, how do you keep it healthy?
Regular protein treatments, hair masks and once a week I sleep with an olive oil treatment in my hair. Basically it consists of egg and olive oil mixed together, to form a very runny liquid. I spread it through my entire hair, sleep on it (covered in glad wrap) - attractive, I know.. And then wash it out in the morning. I use very few hair products in it personally, though work often requires me to have a ton of product depending on the job.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
No, I believe in attraction at first sight, perhaps a love interest.

How much do you weigh?
47kg / 103lb ..I would like to gain three kilos but struggle to put weight on.

What is/was your involvement with MSFW?
I have walked for designers for the past two years, and walked again this year. My agency links with a lot of their designers for bookings, and it allows a great deal of publicity and also a build of portfolio work. I have also photographed backstage prep in the past and also worked on crew in the lead up.

What are some of your favourite Fashion Tumblrs?
I’ll be honest with you, the only people I follow are people I have known for a long time, or spend time with in real life. I don’t have a barrage of people that I seek inspiration and images from on Tumblr. I prefer to outsource for my content. I follow fifteen blogs.

How many followers do you have?
22,875 but lets be honest, a good 70% of those people probably don’t use their blogs anymore, or rarely log into Tumblr. I think it’s the quality not the quantity of followers that you have.

How did you get such a large follow-base?
By consistency, developing a theme within my blog, interacting and being genuine.
